5 Reasons to Visit Austin, Texas
We all have our bucket list places that we want to visit. One of mine is Austin, Texas. I love that it is so full of culture and is known for many great things. Here are 5 reasons to visit Austin, Texas:
1- Music
Austin, Texas is known for its live music. It is known as the live music capital of the world and there are plenty of reasons for that title. Austin City Limits is one of my personal favorites and features some great known artists and some lesser known artists as well.
2- Scenery
Mountains, water and historic markers are just some of the things that make Austin beautiful. There are activities for indoor adventure seekers, but also many outdoor activities as well.
3- Great Weather
Austin is known for mild winters (a lovely trait for someone that gets cabin fever quickly!!) but take note that the longest season is summer. Brief spring and fall seasons make for some unique weather. I have taken note that blue bonnet season in the spring is beautiful and it is a must-see!
4- Southern Hospitality
Some people love the atmosphere of certain locations, while others just enjoy people watching. I love going places where there are friendly people that take the time to get to know one another and have a true sense of community. There is a lot to be said for southern charm and a place where we can feel comfortable taking our children. There is also a known difference in the small town life and the city life in Austin. Literally the best of both worlds.
5- Shoppers Paradise
Austin is known for great shops and a wonderful shopping experience. There are tons of boutiques and thrift style stores which are right up my alley. Austin also features great well-known shops as well for those who like the bigger retail brands. Why not grab a pair of cowboy boots while you are there?
