What We Thought

Valentine’s Day is coming!!! Only a few more days and what would be better than having to get dressed and head out to our favorite restaurant? Well, for me that would be staying in my yoga pants and creating a great mixed drink at home along with a home cooked meal. No lines, no fuss and best of all our kids get to stay on their bedtime routine. Parents you know what I am saying!

Alacran Tequila sent us a great bottle and let me just say the pink color for breast cancer awareness made my day. If you have read in the past here on the blog my Grandmother was hit with breast cancer several years ago and had a double mastectomy. I have experienced many other family and friends be hurt by this awful disease and we just hate it.

But back to the tequila…. I had some margarita mix here and wanted to make one right away. This is a great bottle with a cork style cover which was really great!

I love that this tequila is smooth and mixed well with one of my favorite ways to make a marg: sugar. I know most people like to use salt and lime but I prefer sugar and lime. This was introduced to us by a local restaurant and I have been a fan ever since.
