Butterbean’s Cafe on DVD!

Butterbean’s Cafe on DVD!

We received the mentioned product in exchange for an honest review. The thoughts contained within this post are ours and may vary from the thoughts of others.

So you guys know I am surrounded by boys. They are messy but my goodness do they both love Butterbean’s Cafe. Our oldest is very interested in cooking so this show just speaks to him. Jack is 6 but will still watch this with his brother Willie and they both giggle and have a blast. This DVD came at a time when both boys needed some extra down time. We were remodeling our bathroom and while I really wanted to be the hands on Mom that I normally am I was tending to sheet rock dust, ripping up old wood floors and then putting everything back together. This remodel was nearly the death of me. Speed bumps galore and it was the project that seemed to have no end in sight.

Butterbean’s Cafe arrived on a day when everything went wrong. I remember this distinctly because in the midst of the remodel Jack decided to dust the living room and in the process unplugged the cable wires from the back of the wall mounted television. I couldn’t get my hand behind the TV to plug them back in so I told him that it was going to have to be a day of DVD movies. He immediately ran to the dining room and grabbed Butterbean’s Cafe.

I love that this show is clean fun. It sparks a creative side in all children and shows a real love.

For just $7.05 on Amazon you are getting more than 90 minutes of entertainment which is a great amount of time no matter the situation. Our boys have brought this on road trips and have also shared with friends because they love it so much and want everyone to see it.

Episodes include:
  • The Grand Opening! (special double-length episode!)
  • The Sweetest Ride
  • Fluttercakes!
  • Friendship Pretzels!
  • Grandma Nana Banana Bread
  • Wedding Cake Switcheroo
  • A Grilled Cheese for the Big Cheese!

I  love that this DVD includes a special guest. Carla Hall from Top Chef is featured in the A Grilled Cheese for the Big Cheese episode. She is just great for the part!

There is more though! Inside the DVD there are recipe cards so that you can create your own masterpiece recipes at home with the help of your parents. Jack has started to cook and is learning to follow the steps of recipes to get things just right and he truly enjoys cooking for company too.

Having a show that teaches the boys that everyone can participate in the kitchen really makes me happy! I feel like this is a great DVD for the entire family and we have watched it together. (My favorite episode is Fluttercakes!)
