CapaBunga® is a reusable silicone cap that reseals a bottle of wine after you remove the cork. It’s made to resemble the bungs used to seal barrels during winemaking. Once you remove the cork and re-seal the bottle with a CapaBunga®, it is liquid tight and the open bottle can rest on its side or even upside down without leaking. No more jamming the cork back in the bottle, no more open bottles leaking all over your fridge, no more rearranging the fridge to fit an open bottle in the door.
CapaBunga® fits virtually every wine bottle but it is not recommended for Moscato, Champagne or Sparkling wine as there is too much effervescence in those wines. For Sparkling wine and Champagne we recommend CapaBubbles.
Valentine’s Day is coming quickly and these amazing wine bottle caps are great. We love them because you can literally tip a bottle on its side and nothing spills out. This is perfect for someone like me who loves to buy wine on vacation and there is usually some left in the bottle (just like this one shown) and I always worry it is going to spill all over our vehicle on the way home.
These caps are flexible and I had absolutely no issue getting them to fit a bottle that had a cap and a bottle that had a cork.
$7.95 for a pair is a steal when it comes to knowing you will have no spilled wine and no messes. Plus if you are like me and like to collect corks this is just a fun way to be able to toss the corks to the side and use something that won’t have wine soaking into the cork material more.
If you are wondering about this amazing West Virginia Fruit and Berry wine– We purchased this from a store in Thomas, WV called Thomasyard. This store has something for everything including a full florist on site. I love the wine selection and this was a personal favorite for my birthday this year. Elderberry is such a great flavor and this bottle was enjoyed while sitting in the hot tub with snow falling lightly. 33 has been awesome so far and I blame that partly on how we rang it in; totally relaxed.
