Celebrating 12 Years of Blogging!
My oh my I never thought this day would come but yet here we are. I started blogging after a short stint at a Virtual Assistant and realizing that I could do the same things I was doing that made other people money. It was a decision I weighed very heavily as I was about to not only become a wife but also knowing that my husband worked night shift and a traditional 9-5 job would mean that we rarely saw each other. I wanted to at least be here when he woke up in the afternoons and share a meal. A short time after this decision my mind…

Love & Loss on Valentine’s Day
Love & Loss on Valentine’s Day Many people will wonder why my Valentine’s Day Gift Guide came to a screeching halt. This little one pictured named Andy came to us the day before Christmas Eve. He was amazing. He wrapped his paws around our hearts and immediately we knew that he would be a foster fail. A foster kitty who became an adopted kitty. He made friends with everyone, the other cats loved him and Maggie our Blue Heeler had a BFF. Things were going great and we were doing our day to day routines when I noticed that he was struggling to walk. He was swaying…

FOUND Professional Pet Trackers
FOUND Professional Pet Trackers A pet parent’s worst nightmare is knowing that their pet is missing. We experienced this on March 7th. Athena was outside during Willie’s birthday party and literally was here one minute and gone the next. Athena had never tried to leave home before and we are still unsure of the circumstances as to why or how she left. What I do know is this; I went into an immediate panic. I…

Life, Grief & Our Holiday Gift Guide
Life, Grief & Our Holiday Gift Guide I debated even writing this post because it was so personal but my mind went back to May/June when we lost my Grandma and the weeks following which seem like such a blur. You can read about that on our post Grief & Why It Is So Hard but back to the last portion of 2019. Life is hard, but of course we all muddle through and find our way. I learned this year so many lessons, some the hard way and while I did start a Holiday Gift Guide I know that it was left incomplete. Rewind to Thanksgiving week. We were…

Grief and Why It Is So Hard
When something personal happens in our household I always wonder if I should blog about it or if I should just keep things businesslike here. There are people who separate their work lives from their personal lives and I find that often that is just not possible when you are being read. Often I laugh and compare myself to Carrie Bradshaw. I literally sit at my computer and let the thoughts just pour out from time to time. Back in the day of Live Journal I even wrote there. Recently we took a family vacation. By family I mean my parents came too and we had an amazing…
