We all know hand washing, covering your mouth when you cough, and avoiding others who are sick helps prevent the spread of the flu virus. BUT did you know that proper humidity levels in your home and workplace also help stop the spread of the virus?
A new study done by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that relative humidity levels of 43% and above eliminate the vast majority of flu virus particles in the air. Moisture from the water vapor in the air combines with germs and other airborne chemicals, causing them to become heavy and fall to the ground. This makes surviving and spreading incredibly difficult for the virus at regular humidity levels.
Not only is cool mist humidifiers a good way to help prevent the flu but they have more awesome health benefits as well.
Relieves cough, cold, and flu symptoms, including nasal congestion, dry cough, sinus irritation, nose bleeds, dry skin
Increases air moisture for easier breathing and a good night’s sleep
Cool mist humidifiers can also help those suffering from allergies or asthma.
What we received:
We were sent the “Cocoa the Dog” Cool Mist Humidifier, Coconut- Menthol Lip Balm and Cherry Menthol Vapor Steam Liquid.
What we thought:
I have been sick the past week, since using this humidifier I have been feeling so much better. It has helped my cough tremendously. A humidifier works by releasing moisture into the air which can open air ways and sinus cavities, thus providing relief.
We have to use the air conditioner almost everyday, even though it’s freezing outside because we are in a second story apartment and our neighbors keep our apartment warm! However convenient, it has been really drying out our sinuses. Since we started using this adorable air humidifier my son has been waking up in the mornings without a stuffy nose!
It is also so easy to clean!
I haven’t used the vapor steam liquid but I did use the lip balm (of course) and it is great. It is 100% natural. And who doesn’t love products that are all natural? I know I do!
Value: You can purchase an adorable cool mist humidifier for $45.99. Crane has many other humidifiers available as well for varying prices.

I on’t have a humidifier now, but did when my kids were small.

Never had one.

No we dont have one but I think my grandkids would love a crane.
I do not currently have one, but did until it finally gave out after about 10 years..
Yes we do and I’d love this one since ours broke
yes we have one for the kids, but it is not nearly as cute as this..how fun
No, but would love to try one out for my kids!
Great for kids
No I do not currently use one but I would love to!
We don’t currently have a working humidifier and have actually been thinking of getting a new one. This one is adorable! While I typically put things like this away when not in use, this one is cute enough to keep out full-time. It would actually be great to use in my “dog room” (the spare bedroom I have a couch, TV, and some other furniture in and which has my dogs’ crates (which Ithey use when I’m not home). Dogs and cats can benefit from a humidifier in the extremely cold and dry weather we’ve had lately.
We don’t currently use a humidifier, but we could really use one for our little guy.
Yes – for the kids during the winter – helps keep coughs and colds at bay! This product is so cute!
