About Dinner Thyme
Each week we’ll get you started with a brand new menu. Usually consisting of nine meal options plus four desserts. Feel free to create your perfect menu for the week. Just let us know which items you would like and how many portions (1, 2, 3 or 4) of each. Of course if you don’t need help with dinner that week, no problem, no need to order or to skip. We are a non-subscription service. Just order when you want – don’t order when you don’t.
What We Thought-
I am typically a busy person and things get insane here right at dinner time 9 times out of 10. I find myself trying to have a conversation with my husband, kids have different wants and needs and trying to make a balanced meal is something that sometimes gets put on the back burner.
Dinner Thyme read my mind and minds of other moms just like me. When this package arrived I really wasn’t sure what to expect. I am used to going to the grocery store and looking for foods, trying to construct meals and then getting home only to totally blow the budget and order a pizza or Chinese food. That isn’t healthy and its not really health savvy either.
These meals from Dinner Thyme pictured above were AMAZING! My husband and I were able to sit down and have a full meal without a lot of work and I felt like I had really done something great for us.
First I want to talk about the sheets of information with each recipe. So simple that literally anyone who can read can make these meals. I found that although I am a more seasoned home chef, this made things so easy. The ingredients were extra fresh and I had no issues at all with serving portions.
We received the Chicken And Waffles With Braised Kale And Butter Syrup which made this southern girl grin from ear to ear. I had never fixed kale before, but was familiar with it and love how it cooked up. The bacon flavor made it amazing. The chicken portions were more than I could eat, and they filled my husband. Often I worry that I am not cooking enough food, so this made me feel good. The waffles were nice and toasty from the oven method mentioned in the recipe sheet. I had never made chicken with a corn flake crust, but this was so tasty!!
Next we got Citrus Marinated Steak Tacos With Pico de Gallo which I prepared on Cinco de Mayo. Amazing meal for a fun day of celebration. The meat was great and again the portions were more than I could eat. I enjoyed the taste of the meat and the homemade pico de gallo really hit the spot. I had never made pico at home before, but it was SO easy. Again the instructions helped a ton and made any cooking anxiety that I may have had about trying new things in the kitchen go away instantly.
If you are looking for a way to settle the weekday blues (or even the busy weekends) with some amazing home cooked food that is delivered right to your door check out Dinner Thyme. These 2 meals for 2 people cost $49.80 plus a shipping fee. Technically 4 meals for less than the cost of carryout. These come highly recommended by Product Review Cafe!
