Engage Green Because your purchase saves 18 plastic bottles (per yard of our fabric) from dying in a landfill, helps to avoid contamination and depleting our Natural Resources.
This is by far the best concept I have seen in the “go green” “recycle everything” world! Engage Green manufactures a huge variety of bags, purses and cases out of recycled plastic bottles. Yes, plastic bottles! According to their website, 18 16oz. bottles makes one yard of fabric, in which they use to create these amazing products. They also use Organic Hemp, Organic Cotton, Cork and Woven Recycled Paper.
I am very impressed at their selection and style, they offer clutch purses, hobo bags, totes, satchels, 3 way purses and so much more. I received the iPad Bag to review. This is the perfect little bag, they really thought of everything. First the bag has a special lining that will protect your device from temperature changes such as heat if left in your car on a hot summer day. This is important because all electronic devices like this should be kept cool and at the least room temperature. The lining is also made to protect the device from scanning tools, such as at airports and other locations where you must pass through security.
The bag is a great size at 11″ x 8.5″ x 1.5″ , so it is not overly big and bulky. There are straps in the corner inside that hold your iPad in place. The bag also has a zippered pocket on the back that will fit a smaller device or tablet. Inside the main compartment area is a zippered section for organizing touch screen pens and other accessories.
The exterior of the iPad Bag is waterproof not just water resistant. I do not recommend jumping into the pool with it, but if you are walking from the library to your car in a down pour it should be fine.
- Detachable strap – this allows the bag to be worn across the body, over the shoulder or taken off completely
- Padded carry handle
- Easy to clean material, just wipe
- 5 colors to choose from, animal free dye !
The bag is such a huge convenience, my daughter uses a hobo style bag/purse for school since she has a locker instead of a backpack and this fits in there perfectly! Quite honestly, the fact that the bags are made from recycled materials and have such a huge effect on the planet is the main reason why I love this. Even if it lacked in some features, I would still choose this over others.
The Engage Green iPad Bag is very reasonably priced at $40. I searched iPad Bags that are similar in style and features and found that they range in price from $35-$50. The major difference – those products do not help sustain our planet.
