Family Movie Night with PBS
We received the mentioned products in exchange for an honest review. The thoughts contained within this post are ours and may vary from the thoughts of others.
I grew up watching and enjoying PBS television in the days of “This Old House” and other shows very similar as my Dad was in the construction business and we loved these types of shows. We also enjoyed the cooking programming and other series. As I got older I really enjoyed and still enjoy Antiques Roadshow.
Obviously I grew up in a time where there were no DVD players and not everyone we knew even had a VHS so we watched television in real time sans DVR systems that let us pause live television and spent many hours of quality family time watching public broadcasting.
Being able to share PBS television with my own family has been a blessing but what is even more fun is when shows from my childhood such as Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood are available for my boys to enjoy just as much as I did. I love that PBS broadcasting offers educational shows with fun characters that often teach life lessons that you are not going to learn in many other outlets.
We have opted this year to spend a lot more time at home. This means enjoying DVD movie nights instead of going out for movies. We love to pop some popcorn, add in a few special treats and drinks and enjoy family time around the television. I always know that with PBS we can count on shows that are tailored to our boys but also know that if we want to stay up later as adults there is programming for us as well.
The boys have enjoyed these DVDs as much as we have and I have to compliment the PBS network for also having products that go with our treasured television shows such as the great set of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood sticky notes that I received. They have been a highlight to my office work and I love seeing the great familiar characters sitting on my desk each day. I spend a lot of time here at my computer and anything to make the day go smoothly is always great.
Thank you to PBS for the amazing DVD programming and we look forward to adding more to our family viewing library in the future!
