Family Travel as an Influencer
*Sponsored Post*
2019 was full of adventure with our family as we covered more ground than ever before. Traveling as a family when you are an influencer is absolutely different than “regular” travel. Our readers are constantly looking for ideas on where to go, what to eat, where to stay, etc. We have quite a little following for our Google reviews on travel as well as pictures that we take on our journeys which means often times the more you deliver the more people want.
What is Influencer Marketing?
Influencer marketing is a form of social media marketing involving endorsements and product placement from influencers, people and organizations who have a purported expert level of knowledge or social influence in their field according to our friends at Wikipedia.
Expert knowledge, well no I don’t claim to be an expert at anything really, but I do find that I know what people are looking for when traveling especially as a family. I am just honest with my readers be it here or on the Google platform and all of my associated social media.
Why Blog About Travel?
I am a person who loves to write about anything. I enjoy writing about our culinary adventures most of all though. I feel that food is really an international language as it is my own love language. Nothing soothes me more than being able to either prepare or purchase a meal for my family especially when we are traveling. Food experiences in different areas really make a trip. Something as simple as trying a local restaurant or bar really refuels the body and gets us prepared for the different legs of our trip.
In recent times we have been to West Virginia quite often. Not really for influencing but because we had 2 back to back family emergencies. I tried a baked potato that had steak inside. It was absolutely amazing and made me wonder why I had never thought of that myself.
Travel for 2020
While 2019 was absolutely filled with travel experiences for my family this year I want to focus more on what we are surrounded by locally. The over 10,000 miles of travel on our vehicle last year will appreciate us more as well. We want to experience things that we drive by on an often daily basis that we have not done before including mile after mile of Civil War trails, historic homes of former U.S. Presidents and local history museums which we will also be blogging about. For me travel in 2020 isn’t about the miles, but the experiences. I want to make memories with my boys while being able to sleep in our beds at night. I want day trips where we come home tired but filled with a library of photos from our outings. I want to recreate things with my boys that I did as a child and while often things may not go perfectly smooth I want to ensure that we have these memories in our own memory bank, but also that we can share the experiences with those who are looking to come into our richly historic area and learn more about how things are in Central Virginia.
Keep an eye on the blog this year for more experiences with us as a family.
