How to Feel Beautiful While Working From Home
Working from home is such a task. I am not going to say it is easier or harder than working outside of the home because I have done this for so long that it is my way of life and I really have no other comparison, but below are some things I do know.
Being able to work in pajamas doesn’t mean you should every single day
I have struggled with this myself so let me tell you guys it isn’t easy. Getting into a trend of wearing comfortable pajamas and sitting in front of the computer can quickly become a way of life. I like to get up some mornings and actually dress. You know, real pants, a decent shirt and really try to make myself at least feel like I am going somewhere.
Do Your Makeup & Hair
If you are a girly girl like me, just doing your makeup and hair can make a huge difference in how you feel each day. I try to do this several times a week, when time permits. I also like to use some products that I am sent to review to make myself feel more beautiful. Sally Hansen Miracle Gel is one of my go-to products when doing a home manicure, because honestly until last weekend I had not been inside a nail salon in over 2 years. I had been using at home solutions for my nails and just getting by because I could never find the time to get there.
Eat Healthy Meals
It is SO easy to get into the habit of eating junk food, snacking all day and not eating proper meals let alone drinking the right things while working from home. I find that I will grab a coffee, a glass of iced coffee, or a soda and just gulp it down. I know it’s such a bad habit and while I have been trying to do better the urge still creeps up to grab a hand full of whatever snack food is laying around and eat it. My job often requires that I cook for work too which can get a little hairy especially around the holiday season.
Separate Your Roles
Learning to separate the roles of wife, mom, work from home mom and every other role that women have is something that will help at the end of the day with feeling better about yourself. Setting work hours is tough when you work from home, especially as a blogger like myself and many others, but you have do that. Being a wife and mom is my number one priority. My boys are my entire life, but I also have a house to maintain and animals to care for. Life gets incredibly busy sometimes, but sometimes I have to just take a break. I grab a glass of wine, my Kindle Fire and head to the bathroom or just crawl into bed. I need me time.
I hope that these tips have helped all of my readers, but I also want to get more tips. Feel free to comment below how you make yourself feel beautiful while working from home (or at any other time of your day.)
