From Bama+Ry : My name is Jasmine, nickname Bama, and I am a jewelry wordsmith based in beautiful Portland, OR. My shop combines two of my longtime passions: jewelry and writing. It’s the best of both worlds, really. I have been making jewelry on and off since 2002, though I never found quite the right jewelry medium until 2011 when I was introduced to hand stamped jewelry. I have a background in writing, so the idea that I can create a beautiful piece of jewelry that literally speaks to you is enchanting. Each letter is done by hand, so it isn’t a perfect art, but when you string the letters together, they form something very meaningful. I believe words are the most powerful things we have. A beautiful or bittersweet phrase is a work of art in and of itself. I try to showcase that with my jewelry.
Owner Jasmine Myers has a very influential story behind her beautiful creations. An unfortunate life event steered her to the path she is on now and it sounds as though she is doing great! You can read more of her story here About Jasmine and Bama+Ry.
Her handmade copper and nickel jewelry speaks for itself. You can tell that a lot of time, thought and energy goes into her pieces. I was lucky enough to receive the Key To My Heart piece for review and think it is just beautiful. The thing I love most about this piece is that she offers the choice of having stones added, So I chose stones in the colors that represent the birthstones of my husband and I. (Pictured above)
I was amazed at the beauty before even opening the package. It came in such a cute little gift box wrapped with a bow and charm with her name stamped on it. Such a gorgeous first impression!
Jasmine has a full shop of inspiring pieces listed on Etsy in her store Bama+Ry. The collection includes necklaces, earrings and she even offers custom designs, just get in touch and let her know what you are thinking. Her jewelry starts at around $12 and are VERY much worth every penny.
Her story is an amazing one and I hope you take the time to check it out as well as her store.
These are handmade, one of a kind pieces that you will not find anywhere else.
I think the Inspire pendant shown above is my favorite. I love the look of the bead inside the circle.
