I cannot agree more, this is my all time favorite popcorn now. It actually taste just like movie theatre popcorn without all the added salt and fat and calories.

I am an popcorn lover to say the least. I was in sam’s Clun one day and saw a bag of this unknown to me popcorn and I literally followed the lady and her cart until I could ask her what aisle she found it on.
Sam’s Club sells it in the 10oz bag for about $4.78 a bag, I eat 3-4 of them a week,.
Best popcorn I have ever had. Healthy snack and low calorie and all natural. What else could you ask for!

I just bought a bag of this popcorn and love it. I had a massive heart attack 4 weeks ago and have to watch the sodium and fat, This is a perfect snack when you are limited with diet. I will be telling all my friends about this find.

I am on Nutri System also so am wactching what I eat very closely. Went out of town to a family wedding my sister had Skinny Pop at her home. I instantly became addicted. I looked everywhere for it on our car drive home but didn’t find it. Looked on their website and many locations here at home. I am so addicted and when I compare the calories and fat to the desserts I get from Nutri System I am guilt free. I agree, if you like theater popcorn you might not care for Skinny Pop, but give it a tr, you definitely have nothing to lose, and the only thing you will gain is a healthy “guilt free” snack food.

I too had it at a family members house. It was the black pepper one. I couldn’t stop eating it and couldn’t wait to buy my own. I found the pepper kind at Walgreens once and have not found it anywhere since. I’m so disappointed. I’ve been eating the plain which is really good to but I want the peppered!!!

I have to disagree with your comment “I will tell you that if you are someone who likes popcorn occasionally and when you eat it, it must be smothered in butter and salt, you probably will not care for Skinny Pop.” I am someone who used to be addicted to popcorn with melted butter on top. A terrible habit! I found Skinny Pop and I absolutely love it. It’s the only low-cal popcorn I can stand. It’s never dry and so addicting that I have to really watch so I don’t eat the whole bag in one sitting! 🙂

My daughter and I have tried this and we love it. The only problem is that I have tried to buy it again and all the Costco stores in Toronto, Richmond Hill are not stocking it for now. Can you tell me where I can get it without going to Burlington or Sudbury where they claim to still be selling it.

  • Joanne Carriere

I love it! but my local Costco (Ottawa) replied to me that they did not carry it anymore……..I wrote to Skinny Pop and they emailed me back stating they are currently working on something for Canada and to stay tuned!! let’s hope they can do this fast….it’s great on my Weight Watchers plan!

Totally just discovered Skinny pop today at my local Kroger!!! I didn’t think it was possible to be addicted to popcorn but thankfully I am not alone!! I purchased the black pepper flavor and it is oh so delicious you must try! This is even healthier than Smart Food cheddar popcorn. SO GOOD!!

  • Natalie Bassel

I first discovered Skinny Pop in New York. Discovered that Costco Montreal was carrying it and I bought it every week. The last 2 weeks they do not have it on their shelves. I filled out a note in their suggestion box and hopefully it will return. It is the best.

I am trying it for the first time right now. Instant addiction. Very, very good! I got it at Market Basket … 2 bags for $5!! Great deal!

When we were in Lake Tahoe in Oct and Nov we bought several bags of Skinny Popcorn at Costco and couldn’t get enough and kept telling all our friends about it. Well, we live in Troy, MI and bought 4 bags recently and were going to giive 2 away and have opened the other 2 for ourselves and were very disappointed and decited we couldn’t give the other ones away…they would wonder why we thought it was so good. It was tasteless and no big deal – we were very disappointed. Probably won’t be buying any more.

I love Skinny Pop. It is delicious and I am having a hard time controlling myself. If I am not careful I will eat the whole bag (12 oz.).

I recommend it to all popcorn lovers.

Sadly, I have to agree with Casey. I saw this in the supermarket last night, and the ten grams of fat and 155 calories (80 from fat) it had were well more then every other popcorn I checked, even the non-“light” brands. Example, Herr’s CHEESE popcorn 140 calories, 8 grams of fat (yes, it’s true 2 were saturated as opposed to the 1 in skinny pop), 70 calories from fat. Herrs light — 130 calories, 3.5 grams fat (1 sat, 35 fat colories). Golden fluff regular popcorn — 130 calories, 5 grams fat, 1.5 sat fat, 50 fat cals). Golden Fluff Light–110 calories, 3 gms fat, 1 sat fat, 30 fat cals. In short, there is nothing Skinny about Skinny Pop. If you want to buy healthy, don’t buy hype, read the nutritional panels (better still, make your own hot air popped. Same as Golden Fluff Light, but it will cost you much less.)

I don’t think it is so much the amount of calories as it is what the calories are from, even if from fat. The oil used on this popcorn is a lot healthier version than butter or light. It is like eating nuts, they are high in fat , but a good fat. It is not always just about calories and fat.
      Thanks!

I absolutely agree!! I’m strictly watching my food intake, since my wedding is in October. I so LOVE this popcorn. I’m adding it to my paleo diet (which doesn’t allow corn but does allow me to play with 10% of my intake). It’s been a nice addition to just veggies, fruits, nuts & meat (essentially). A MUST HAVE!

  • Adrienne

Ok,so its addicting! I brought one bag from Sam’s Club, then went back for more. I buy at least 4-5 bags a week; the whole family eats it.I love the fact that it is gluten free. It’s my bedtime snack and the only pleasure besides real natural food that I eat. I take it to parties and everyone wants to know where to purchase it. I just love it!

This site, this page, and your reviews are biased with no credibility. I left a real, honest, negative review for Skinny Pop raising a very legitimate issue about hidden ingredients and you have chosen not to publish it, like you probably won’t publish this one.

    • Melissa

Actually, your wrong, 100%. I write my own opinions and post all relevant comments. If you left a comment that didn’t get posted then it was probably in spam which gets automatically deleted.
But thanks for leaving this comment so I could clear it up!

In addition, clearly your issue is with Skinny Pop, you should probably email them instead of leaving comments on a blog post. Unless of course you aren’t really interested in having them hear your concerns. My review was written based on my experience. You had a different one, none of which make any of your nasty comments true about my blog. I will not allow a consumer’s issue with a product or company to affect my work.
      So Thanks and Take Care!

even though I realize your nutrition and health goals differ from mine, I have to take issue with your statement about “butter” on movie theater popcorn. Even though I’m sure it has plenty of fat and calories, the fact is, movie theaters don’t use real butter so much as they use some (probably partially hydrogenated) butter flavored oil based toppings. This makes me sad, because when I make popcorn at home, I pop it in coconut oil and probably put 4-5 tablespoons of butter on it. My popcorn tastes awesome, and the extra fat in it lowers the glycemic index of the popcorn. When I go out to movie theaters or even when I want to get a pretzel from my local quiktrip, I am turned off by the butter flavored oil, because I KNOW it’s not healthy.

I love Skinny Pop, I have to portion control myself though otherwise I would eat the whole bag. I am one of those people who only liked popcorn from the movies with lots of butter and really did not care for popcorn otherwise. I was surprised to find that I like Skinny Pop so much, the freshness and taste are great!

  • phyl

Im laying here munching away on skinny pop as i read all the comments! I too am addicted to it. Its the yummiest low cal snack this side of heaven. Cant get enough of it.

  • KyRose

Fell in love with Skinny Pop last summer, and truly adore it now. Hubbie just had open-heart surgery and his dietician even approved it. Just convinced our local Kroger manager it was absolutely worth the shelf-space in our little town.

  • Allyson Perry

Skinny Pop is the best! I had the Bariatric Sleeve surgery September 2014 and have lost 90 pounds. I discovered Skinny Pop in Sams and gave it a try. I now go to Sams and purchase 10 bags every month. This is always a treat for me everyday to have it as my snack. It is healthy and fits well into my diet plan. THANK YOU SKINNY POP FOR MAKING A SNACK THAT IS ACTUALLY GOOD FOR ME!

  • Mary Grunewald

I just finished my first bag and love it! I am already checking out to see which stores have it in my area. I probably will never try the flavored varieties because I am a lover of plain popcorn with salt and a little butter and do not like when they mess it up with other flavors. I count calories daily and this is perfect for those in-between meal snacks!

I finally found proof I am not crazy. I loved skinny pop. The ingredient listed safflower. Then all a sudden it tasted different and I look at the ingredient list and it now reads sunflower oil. I called the company and they said that safflower was never an ingredient!
