Hoot & Peep A Song for Snow by Lita Judge
I received this book in exchange for an honest review. The thoughts contained within this post are mine and may vary from the thoughts of others.
About Hoot & Peep A Song for Snow
But Peep doesn’t have his patience, and as she flies around the gorgeous wintery Paris skies, she tries her best to make up her own snow song. But once those first flakes start to fall, Peep realizes just how wise her older brother really is for waiting…and just who she wants to cuddle up to when the snow starts to really sing.
With all the wonder and the joy of a first snowfall, this tender follow-up to Hoot and Peep is certainly worth waiting for, too.
About Lita Judge
What We Thought
This is the first winter for our youngest William who will be 1 in March. He has not seen snow but has certainly experienced some very chilly weather since his birth.
When this book arrived for review I knew that it was going to be perfect for both boys, but the experiences of firsts rang true to our life with William and I knew this book would be his. He loves when I read to him and of course everything is so new to him.
Lita Judge did a great job showcasing how Peep felt about her first snow and her big brother Hoot was great (much like our own household big brother Jack) at making sure she was prepared. He even offered his scarf!
This book is full of brilliant artwork and the characters reminded me so much of our boys. The mystery of the first snow for Peep was magical and I hope that although we will more than likely see a snow before William is a year old that he feels the same magic inside.
I always hope for both of my boys that every first that they experience in life is always exciting and filled with wonder & joy just as I am sure that Hoot & Peeps mama hopes the same for them.
This book would be a great first Christmas gift for any baby or a great toddler book. I enjoyed this as a parent just as much as our boys did.
