How To Do Your Own French Manicure in 5 Minutes- Natural Nails
Not everyone likes to have acrylic or gel nails and prefer to keep their own natural nails. So how can you get that nice, white tipped french manicure look without acrylic nails? Most salons use a white acrylic or white tip when applying the nails so without that process, how can you achieve the look? There are a few ways to do your own french manicure on your natural nails. The most common is white nail polish or white polish strips with a guide/stencil.
I like to use Sally Hansen’s White Tip French Manicure pen. The pen is , well , literally like a pen. Actually, like a marker really. It has a felt tip that is the perfect width for any length nails. If you have shorter nails the pen works perfectly in one swift swoop across the tip of the nail. For longer nails, you can do two for a wider white tip. It is as simple as shaking the pen, removing the cover and running it over the tip of your nail as if you were drawing a line with a marker or pen.
The pen usually lasts me months before it is gone or dries up and only costs about $6.
Here is what to do :
File your nails to the length you desire and then buff so there is no rough edges
Apply a clear top/bottom coat , let dry ( I use Sally’s quick dry, less than one minute)
Use the pen over each nail tip, I have never needed more than one coat, let dry
Apply a clear top/bottom coat, let dry. You can also use an off white or light pink clear
I opted to add a little nail art as you can see in the picture above. I like to play with my nails!
Try it out and let me know if you have any questions.
