J&D’s Croutons Review
J&D’s sent me the products mentioned in this review for purposes of taste testing. The thoughts and opinions contained within this review are genuine and are mine.
About J&D’s Croutons: Recently, we got tired of salads tasting like… well, salads. So we combined the great taste of bacon with the perfect crunch of super premium gourmet croutons. It turned out that Bacon Croutons were so good that we found ourselves doing more than adding them to salads. We put them in soups. We dropped them in chili. We crunched them up and used them in mashed potatoes, meatloaf, fried chicken breading, casseroles, green beans and stuffing. And we inhaled them as (healthy) snacks. The possibilities are endless.
Our Thoughts About J&D’s Croutons: I fully admit that I am learning that my metabolism is not the best the older I get. I used to be able to devour everything in sight and never gain a single ounce. After having our son and quickly approaching the big 3-0 I am finding that I can look at food and the calories jump on me.
J&D’s Croutons have added some new flair to the basic salads that have become my friend several nights a week. I also have found they make an awesome snack and even our 2 year old son loves to eat them.
When the package from J&D’s arrived I was really excited to see these Bacon Croutons. I am a fan of anything that includes the word bacon and find that you really can’t go wrong with it. That was the first bag I opened and I have to say I am really impressed. They were more less double bagged and I feel they will stay fresh longer.
I really love these as just a snack in the afternoon or in the evening. These are a vegan product, kosher free and contain no trans-fat cholesterol or preservatives. They are also naturally flavored. These also can take the place of the real bacon on your salad as I tried and I did not miss the bacon at all.
Another great crouton from this review were the Pretzel Bread Croutons. The J&D’s website says these are great as a stuffing, but honestly I loved them on my Caesar salad. They are great as a plain snack as well. I also love the Everything Croutons for snacking as they have a great sea salt taste that I sometimes crave.
I have yet to try the Tomato Basil Croutons but I feel that these are going to be amazing in soup to add that extra crunch to an otherwise plain bowl of tomato soup.
I am highly impressed with the J&D’s line of croutons and feel that you will too. To learn more about J&D’s Croutons and the many other food products offered by J&D’s check out their website.
