About La Vie Bien

Madeleine (Maddie) Gojkov (née Bien) created La Vie Bien in 2024 from a strong desire to build her own business in an effort to lift up the many diverse communities around her through an offering of gifts and apparel available in multiple languages. She began designing products on Etsy, and from there, she grew La Vie Bien into a larger gift shop offering gifts from many different partners around the globe, featuring other small businesses and Fair Trade Verified organizations.

Maddie’s passion and focus is to offer unique gifts and goods that appreciate the diverse culture where she lives. Growing up in Michigan, she realized there was a need for a more culturally diverse offering of products that would cater to the multicultural communities in and around Southeast Michigan.

In her free time, Maddie enjoys drinking tea, cuddling with her cats, and performing in community theatre productions.

This is available in several color combinations as well as mug sizes. We got the 11 oz in pink as shown and I absolutely love it. My family came to America from Germany many many moons ago, but I love that this is able to highlight some of my heritage in such a fun way.

This mug is durable ceramic and has been washed and dried many times since receiving it and it still looks brand new. I find myself getting a little giggle each time I get asked what it says.

We also received the Mama Script Necklace: Mama Script Necklace – La Vie Bien it is $50 and such a simple statement piece. I have paired it with dresses for church on Sunday morning and also wore it out on a dinner date. A simple reminder that Mama is my best title among so many others.

Sometimes being a mama is very monotonous, but I am absolutely blessed by this title and being a boy mama was definitely my calling.
