Named after a local plant, The Goat’s Beard prides itself in using responsibly sourced ingredients in its chef-created seasonal menus. The menu starts with barbeque but quickly branches into a flavorful charred smoked turkey melt featuring bacon jam and horseradish mayo all the way over to a veggie-rich coconut curry. The inventive sides include watermelon and feta salad as well as beets and burrata. The Couch Tomato Cafe

Marchiano’s Bakery
Three generations of Manayunk residents have had their hands in kneading the dough at Marchiano’s Bakery. They offer 13 different types of specialty breads including their award-winning spinach and cheese bread along with the ever-popular Eagles Game Day bread. In addition, they make oreganata rolled bread and local favorite, tomato pie.
It’s easy enough to eat near your home, and when the food is tasty, it’s doubly great to eat at locally owned restaurants that support the greater Manayunk community.
