Nutrisystem Weight Loss Journey Week 13 New Goals

I have reached my first , short term goal with Nutrisystem!  I have lost 20lbs.  22lbs to be exact , counting this week.   This is both a positive and a  negative for me.  On the positive side –  I am super excited and can not believe how easy it was to do.  I would never have thought that I would actually do it.  I have a huge sense of accomplishment!
Now, the negative side – that feeling of accomplishment is kind of making it hard for me to start my next short term goal. Â For some reason my mind is telling me “Yay, you are done!” Â Um, excuse me?? Â Not even close! Â So why can’t I shake this feeling? Â My mind works in funny ways and knowing that I have completed my first goal leaves me feeling finished. Â That is the best way I can explain it. So now , Â I am left feeling as though I am starting over rather than continuing on my journey. Â People say making short term goals are better than long term because they are easier to achieve, but for me I think I would have been better off just continuing on pushing for my long term goal.
My new goal- So, this time I am going to do something different.  I am setting a new goal. It is , let’s say ,  kind of  a  MID term goal of sorts.  Rather than go all in and head for the end  I am going to meet myself half way.  My mid term goal is 30 more lbs and then I will be satisfied.  I will then work to maintain and lose without making it an obsession.  Now the hard part, starting over!   Thank god for Nutrisystem.
Mushroom Stuffed Chicken Breast
I added asparagus and carrots, delicious!! Â The chicken cooks in the oven on 350 for about 30mins and was so juicy, the stuffing was amazing. Â If you are not a fan of mushrooms , they also have a broccoli and cheese stuffed chicken breast!
Total Calories- 300
I am consistently consuming 1,000-1,200 calories a day and I never thought I would be able to! Â I feel full, satisfied and not deprived! Those three words are something you do not hear from people on a “diet”. Â Â Remember, Nutrisystem is not a diet. Â It has taught me how to eat better and how to maximize the nutrition benefits from my food. Â No empty calories!
