Being new to Nutrisystem and the process, I worry a lot about getting into a predicament where I am going to give in and pig out on all the good food surrounding me.  I am constantly aware and thinking about food.  This is fine and keeps me on track, but sometimes I feel like screaming “GET OUT OF MY HEAD!” . I hope it subsides and sooner than later I will be able to just go about my days not worrying.   I am striving for this to become a habit, life style change , not a “diet”.  That is one of Nutrisystem’s main goals as well, they want us to feel like we can eat the same foods as every one else, just in correct portion sizes and a little healthier.

 I have been really good about keeping on schedule with my routine.  I have mentioned it before in this post from Week 3 Nutrisystem.   I think a routine is great, but I make sure to have variety and a back up plan so that I do not get caught off guard.   For instance,   we go to the movies every Saturday.  It is usually a matinee and we use to eat lunch out first.  Instead,  I have breakfast, make my Nutrisystem Shake and take that with me with a Granola bar from their lunch collection.  

Planning ahead and having variety is what gets me by these weekends of football and food!  I make sure to eat breakfast and have my shake.  By time I am putting out the munchy food I am full.  Not even interested.   The other thing I started doing (obvious, I know)  is to make sure that I cook  A  LOT  less than usually, this way nothing is sitting around.

Nutrisystem has a lot of new items on their menu, one of which is their Mac N Cheese ..  which  is 100% honestly the best mac n cheese I have ever had that was not homemade.   It is really creamy and cheesy.  The portion size is great and only 200 calories.  This is really delicious and will curb any craving for comfort food.

Major Changes I have Noticed in the last 2 weeks:

  •  My cravings are nothing like what they use to be
  • If I skip my Nutrisystem Shake for the day, I am starving all day long
  • For every meal my family has, I have something comparable from Nutrisystem to eat
  • I do not feel deprived
  • I have had a few meals of my own and was able to eat a normal portion and be satisfied
  • Some of the food items I would never order again , most of them I am very impressed with.
  • I AM SO HAPPY  and can not believe I am finally actually doing this!!!!
