What We Thought

February is full of such fun events in our home. We love to celebrate Valentine’s Day at home as well as Super Bowl events with family and friends.

This year we have been a little more low-key about events and instead of spending a ton of money going out and buying prepared foods and drinks we have been cooking more and also creating our own drink combinations.

For Super Bowl Sunday we opened the bottle of Root Out Whisky. Immediately I loved the smell. It truly smelled like a regular root beer. My husband and I knew this was going to be a great hit and we wanted to see what we could come up with. First we tasted some just to see the flavor before deciding to pair it with anything. Definitely a full flavor beverage.

I thought that instead of just a shot and chaser I would mix this with some store bought Root Beer soda. BUT… then the idea came to make an adult root beer float and this is where things got amazing.

Adult Root Out Float

1 shot of Root Out Whisky

a few oz Root Beer (any brand) 

a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream (any brand)

Mix Root Out & Root Beer in a glass

Add ice cream
