safeHands Alcohol Free Hand Sanitizer Product Review

safeHands® began as a dream until founder, Dr. Jay, gathered a team of experts to develop an alternative to mainstream alcohol-based hand sanitizers.  Dr. Jay’s goal was to ensure that the product not only killed over 99.99% of germs – but that the foam helped soothe, nourish and preserve the natural oils in skin. It dawned on Dr. Jay, as he successfully tested the product with his friends and family, that it was time to start a mission and SAFE the Planet one hand at a time, with a goal of educating people all over the world to the many benefits of Alcohol Free hand sanitizers.

I am not exactly a “germ-a-phobe”  by the slang term’s definition, but I have always washed my hands multiple times a day.  I also carry  hand sanitizer in the car, my purse, my travel bag and I keep one next to me on the end table as well as my bed side table.  Next to each sanitizer is always a hand lotion because the hand sanitizer is always so drying.   The main ingredient in most sanitizer on the market is alcohol, which will cause your skin to become very dry, as well as other long term effects that absorbing all that alcohol can have on your body.

The alcohol free hand sanitizer from safeHands has been a blessing.  I have been using this daily for about a month and my hands feel great.  Not once have they felt dry.    The active ingredient in safeHands sanitizer is called Benzalkonium Chloride.  This ingredient is used in a lot of antiseptics and personal care products such as eye drops.  Their sanitizer is safe for children also, they even have their own product line called safeSquirts .

safeHands come in 3 different sizes,  1.75oz. , 70z. and 18oz.   The 1.75oz is the size we received and as I mentioned above, I have used it daily for about a month and the bottles are only half gone.  They are designed to pump out a foam, not a gel and therefore it lasts longer.   They are very reasonably priced starting at $2.50.
