What We Thought

I am TERRIBLE at self care. I mean most parents are in some way or another but I feel as a homeschooling mom of very active boys, priorities, volunteering and other commitments I find myself drained and just don’t find the time for self care. This note pad is an amazing reminder that I need to start doing something for ME. I would love to find one of these in my stocking this year simply because it is not only affordable but it is a constant reminder that you have to take time for yourself even if just a moment of the day. The best part is this has a spot for notes which I have found super helpful especially in being able to jot down what has worked for me most throughout the day as far as taking a moment.

Sometimes that moment is just a cup of hot coffee on the porch talking to my cats. Yes, insert Crazy Cat Lady jokes all day long because I guess that suits. I have learned to be more intentional about myself since having this notepad but… there is something so much more powerful about this.

When the owner of this brand sent the product I found that I couldn’t find it in my blog review bins. If you have been to our house, you know what I am talking about. If you haven’t picture totes filled with amazing products that brands trust me with to provide not only some input but also in hopes their brand grows through my words. I looked everywhere. I mean literally everywhere. The tracking showed delivered, the product had to be here. When I found it I had to stop for a moment and just think how impactful the moment was, not that I found the product but where it was. It was with our oldest sons’ school supplies. Why was it there? I don’t put blog and school things together. He thought it was a school project. His project was to work on himself and to me that stood out so much. He really thought this was for him and as a Mom I have to admit that this moment stood out to me unlike many others. He was prioritizing himself so he could be better at his school lessons and really who got the lesson that day? It was me.

Whether you are looking to start your own self care routine or help someone else, this is a perfect stocking stuffer and while I am actively using mine now that I have claimed it back, I will always remember the moment that my son decided that he was number 1 and that he learned this from a notepad gifted to us for a blog review, but it meant so much more than that.
