Stand for Freedom by Watching Average Joe in Theaters 10/11

High school football coach Joe Kennedy had no other choice but to fight. A childhood in foster care followed by 20 years in the Marine Corps was nothing com-
pared to his biggest battle: his commitment to stand for God publicly by taking a knee in prayer after each game. When he was fired, Joe and his wife Denise knew
this battle for religious freedom, freedom of speech, and the rights of all American was one they would have to fight—no matter the cost. From the director and producers of God’s Not Dead and the producers of The Blind comes AVERAGE JOE, in theaters beginning October 11.

As a mom who is homeschooling, staying at home raising my boys while my husband works, I feel that it is so important that I teach the boys a lot of basic values and especially morals considering the world we live in. I sat down with our 11-year-old to watch this movie as part of our homeschooling lessons this week and we couldn’t have been happier with it. There were 2 parts with cursing, but it was mild and suited the scene, so it wasn’t a huge deal to us, but thought it was worth noting for those who dislike that language.

This movie covered from boyhood to manhood of Joe Kennedy and really showed that when we have faith in God, we can truly be tested but we were made to be tested and if we hold strong to our faith we can move mountains, change laws, or do anything we set our minds to.

Joe Kennedy was so relatable to us as we have been through our own trials and tribulations and through faith we saw a light at the end of the tunnel that maybe many others would have thrown the towel in on. I am so happy that I could experience this movie with our son and I would even go see it again in the theater because it was that moving. Joe stood strong on faith so many times and always came out on top. These are the types of lessons I want my boys to grow up seeing. Life isn’t always easy, but by faith we can keep pushing forward and will always overcome and even if we don’t necessarily feel like it was a total win, we know that we still have faith to lean on.
