Starlooks Starbox Make Up Review

Starlooks  is just one of the many subscription box  options out there now.  They seem to be taking the internet by storm!  The Starlooks Starbox is one of the higher quality boxes I have received .

What you get:

Every month, you’ll receive a box filled with 3-4 FULL SIZED pieces of makeup, hair product, or accessories by STARLOOKS. Each month will include a different mix of product types including colors, styles, formulas, etc. You will have more than enough product and choices to confirm they’re right for you. You’ll also want to take advantage of www.starlooks.com, which is packed with all the beauty information and tips you need, including expert interviews, helpful tutorials, and fun videos about how to apply and where/when to use our products!

The Subscription is only $15 a month and your value of products you receive is ALWAYS at least that, but more often than not it is more.   There is a small shipping fee also assessed but that never changes.  So you always know what you will be charged and you get the surprise of new products each month !

I received my box in August, it was different than the August box that subscribers received because  I guess subscribers received a themed box from a specific artist.  So for the purpose of a review, Starlooks thought it would be best to send me a more typical selection of box products.

My box contained:

Diamondline Eye Pencil in Myth- $8

Starlooks Small Precision 813 Shadow Brush- $15

Starlooks Neutral Eye Shadow in Caricature- $9

Total product value= $32

These colors are perfect for someone who has a light skin tone or likes to just wear subtle every day make up.   I am always trying to get my daughter away from the black eyeliner !    I switch it out all the time and when I can, I buy the color “mink” and try to convince her it is not brown ,   it is called “mink” because it has black undertones.

The Starlooks Eye Shadow is highly pigmented and did not dust all over the place.  Using the Starlooks 813 brush, just swirl and tap to remove the excess powder.  Apply to the eyelid in small circular motion from corner to crease.  Use a fan brush or cotton ball  to lightly brush away any that has fallen onto the face below the eye. This was minimal.

The Starlooks Eye pencil is of really good quality.  I liked that it was soft to the touch. Usually the pencils can be hard and need warming to go on correctly, or without hurting your eye!  This pencil glides on smooth and did not crumble.  It sharpened very well. Apply as desired,  top & bottom or the eye or just one or the other.

Finish with a neutral or clear lip gloss and you are ready for the day !  A clean,  natural make up look.
