What We Thought
When the Stomp Rocket Ultra arrived Jack was so excited that I know it wasn’t in the house more than 10 minutes before we were assembling it and headed out the door to give it a try.
Assembly wasn’t too hard and while I was putting it together and hearing “hurry up Mommy” about once every second I got it done.
For the first launch we were in the grass and as you can see from the photos above, doing this barefoot around here is definitely the way to go. Jack is a taller/larger child than the average 4 year old and while the box did say for ages 6 and up he had absolutely no problem using the stomp feature to get his rocket soaring into the air. He is approximately 42 pounds for other parents reference.
I fully admit that I gave it a try too and while my rocket did go higher than Jacks we were simply in it for fun. Since becoming a family of 4 I have made it a point as well as my husband to spend one on one time with each of our boys and this was the perfect opportunity.
We spent quite some time outside with the Stomp Rocket Ultra and at no time did any of the rockets break. We did have some issues getting the launcher to stay upright in the grassy area, but I knew that was going to be a given. On more flat ground the issues went away.
When my husband got home from work on arrival day he was just as excited as Jack was to give this new toy a try and he did. He had a blast and yes, he beat my height record.
Turning this fun toy into a little competition seemed like a great idea here, and we have since had hours of fun with this great toy!
