As you would guess we receive a lot of offers to review products. Often it is hard to feel that we are still bringing unique products to our readers. When I was contacted by Tellinga.com I really felt that the product would not only be unique but something that my boys could treasure for a very long time.

The idea being Tellinga is that you are telling a story by way of a piece of card stock mailed to the recipient. You send a photo and tell the story behind the photo and the artist draws it for you and sends it on its way. Arriving pretty fast especially for something that is curated one by one. No mass production at all.

I wanted to add these to gifts for my boys birthdays (one was March 1st and the other June 16th) but these are too adorable to keep hidden.

Story #1:

Inspired by a winter getaway to celebrate my 33rd birthday in December Jack decided to hike down to Blackwater Falls in Tucker County, WV. This place is one of my favorites in the entire world and at 5 years old Jack has completed the hike in every season. The winter one is absolutely my favorite though. We bundled up because the temps were quite low, we shivered, we bundled up and made the trek down the walkway which is complete with a LOT of steps.

Here is the picture that inspired the story:

The weather didn’t keep us away from the falls and even though the steps were snow covered we made our way all the way down and all the way back. We only stopped twice which is either a testament that we are in really good shape, or that it was so cold we wanted to hurry along.

Story #2

Willie… our sweet food loving boy is always in heaven and on cloud nine when he has something to eat. He was born at 37 weeks and has thrived from day 1. I like to say he just has a strong soul. He just turned 2 as most of you know from recent posts.

Inspired by this photo:

This picture was taken on Thanksgiving. This boy slept through lunch round 1 and when he woke up he was STARVING. My mom (holding him) let him eat until he was stuffed. I love that he was comfy enough to enjoy Thanksgiving in his favorite pajamas.
