What We Thought

One of the sweetest books to ever enter our home; That’s Me Loving You shares all of the ways that a child can be loved. I admit fully to getting teary the first time I read this to our youngest. Willie has been the baby of the family, our last baby. He has been showered with love and adoration from the minute he was born just as our oldest Jack has been, but a reminder that a slight breeze can be a reminder of love just really warmed my heart.

Right before Willie was born (less than a month actually) my grandfather passed away. He was my last grandfather and one of the people that Willie was being named after. This loss hit me very hard, especially being pregnant and knowing he almost made it to when the baby was supposed to be born. That entire winter was long. It felt like days were weeks and then his passing just really made things dark here. Jack was struggling with the loss and knowing that Pop was in heaven. This book reminded even me that the little things can be a mention of someone loving us.

Books like this are good for the soul, both young and old. This was a reminder that people with us and those who have passed on love us unconditionally.

A perfect Valentine’s Day gift for any child this year for only $7.05 on Amazon. Don’t forget those Prime benefits, too.
