Traveling in 2019
2018 is going to be our year to see new things, to make memories and experience all that life has in store for our family. They say time flies when you are having fun, but honestly time is flying when we are sitting around wasting time as well. We have always wanted to travel more (I am not the most traveled person in the world for sure) and want our boys to experience things with us while we are still young enough to get around and enjoy things with us. Growing up I always heard my Grandparents talk about their adventures and when I was a young child they boarded a plane for the first time and went to Canada. They had a great time and spoke so often of their trip. I want those memories both in younger life and in older life.
I watched as they aged and got to the point where they could hardly get their own groceries and I want to make sure that when life ages my body and mind that both my husband and myself have great memories of our adventures.
Instagram pages such as Kalu Yala give us a glimpse of things that we want to do and images of people enjoying themselves to the fullest, often in a world that can be so full of hatred that we don’t know where to turn next their motto is “a place that’s for things, not against them.” What a concept, huh. Personally I spend more time on Instagram making my own bucket list than I am willing to admit but hey, why not dream! One of my dreams is to get a bunch of friends together and travel around in a fancy limousine service and take wine tours.
In the coming year we hope to head back to our favorite vacation spot; the mountains of West Virginia. We are also planning a big family trip to Tennessee and will be spending some time in the Bristol area so if you know of any fun events there please let us know. We are really open to anything and hope to mirror Kalu Yala and show the world just what a happy place we can make it if we start to be more for things than against them.
What are your plans for 2019 travel? Feel free to share them in the comments here and let us know. I know that the beach sounds like a great idea (I have never been to the ocean) and also more recently our oldest has been talking about Disney which although will not happen this year will have to be something we think about in the future. In the coming year no matter where life takes you in your travels, please remember to love first and everything else will fall into place.
