What We Thought

Holy smokes! I was so excited to get to review these as I have been considering getting myself a set of packing cubes for quite a while. We travel pretty frequently and when we fly we try to pack as lightly as possible to avoid paying a checked bag fee. This means that we are usually trying to pack for 3 people (2 adults, 1 4 year old) in 2 carry-on suitcases and 2 backpacks. I also hate doing laundry on vacation (when we don’t have laundry in our room, especially) because who wants to be doing chores on vacation?! Not this girl. So this inevitably leads to me packing more than we need because kids are messy and I like to have options. I was so excited to have these cubes for a recent 3 day trip that I went on. I wanted to take only a backpack so that I didn’t have too much to keep up with and let me tell you, these packing cubes DELIVERED. What magical dimension did these things come from?! I saved SO much space and more than comfortably fit all of my stuff in a backpack with a bit of room to spare for my clear bag of toiletries (for flying), an extra pair of shoes, my tablet and a few other small items that I travel with. I did use all 3 for myself but I could definitely make adjustments when traveling with my family.

The material is sturdy but not too thick and the color is so vibrant! Also, for reference, I am a plus sized girl so my clothes are a little bit bigger than most. I’m sure that a smaller sized person would easily fit more in a single cube than I did, which is great! I didn’t over stuff my cubes because I didn’t need to but there was PLENTY of room leftover for more things to fit in all 3 cubes.

This is the smallest of the three cubes. I used it for my non-liquid toiletries. It holds my straightener (hallelujah!), my brush, makeup bag, lotion, a hair clip, a razor and some lotion. As you can see by the gap between the black border and the top of the straightener, there is plenty more room for more, if needed.

This is the medium sized cube which I packed 5 days worth of undergarments and socks, 4 shirts, a sweater and 2 tank tops in. I didn’t fold them any special way, I just did a tri-fold and set them in there. There was MORE than enough room if I needed to add more items. If I folded tighter or rolled, I could have fit a LOT more.

This is the large cube which has an over-sized long sleeved shirt, a sweater, a pair of jeans, a pair of leggings and 3 pair of sweatpants. This also had plenty more room if I needed to pack more. Again, if I folded tighter or rolled I could have easily packed much more.

I highly recommend these packing cubes if you’re a frequent traveler looking for some serious travel organization! They save so much space and will really allow for a much more organized suitcase, or backpack, when traveling. I can definitely see us being able to continue our packing strategy in the future thanks to these awesome packing cubes!

These super helpful packing cubes come in 9 different colors (pictured above is Passion Pink; I also received black) with something for everyone. I loved this 3 piece set but they also offer a 5 piece set which would be perfect for those packing for several people or a longer trip!
