Taken from Laura Hillenbrand’s book; Unbroken: Path to Redemption is the story of Louis Zamperini and focuses on faith.

Have you ever been through something that changed your life? Something that may not happen to everyone else and find yourself struggling with PTSD? That is what happened to Louis Zamperini. He finds himself drinking and at a very low point in his life like so many people often struggle with after coming back from a war zone.

Zamperini marries and has a daughter but finds he is still unsettled and he finds himself on a roller coaster of emotions. He even finds himself having flashbacks of days past that he encountered during the war.

Zamperini finds that his wife wants him to attend a tent revival by Billy Graham (who is played by Graham’s real life grandson) and he found a way out of the endless cycle of PTSD.

A plus of this movie is that it shows the struggles of a spouse during the battle of PTSD and the things that a family goes through and not just the person who is suffering. I found myself relating with this movie because of things we have experienced as a family (not war related).

I always like leaving my movie reviews pretty open because I am not one who likes to log online to find spoilers everything.

This movie is rated PG13 and will be released in theaters on September 14th, 2018.
