Updating Your Look in the New Year
Everyone typically has their own desires for the new year and often those desires include reaching out on a limb and changing your style for how you dress or even your own hair/makeup regime.
Personally for me this year I want to take more time for ME. I have gotten into the mom world knee deep before I even realized. Messy buns, absolutely no makeup, leggings and baggy t-shirts. Is this you? I can’t be the only one!
This year I want to explore more opportunities to feel good about myself, not so much about feeling that I need to be smaller or need to fit into a certain size clothing but more just feeling good inside the body that I have been given. The post-baby/post-surgery body.
Scouring the internet especially Pinterest has been so inspiring. I have seen clothing and ideas for hair and makeup that I never imagined I would try but I am willing to give it a whirl.
One of the highlights that I have seen have been women of all nationalities trying out wigs more than ever. They are checking them out because given the busy lives that most of us lead it is often just easier to throw one on than go to a stylist to change looks/colors of hair very often.
A very popular wig style right now is a lace front wig which looks more real and offers the ability to actually part the hair. I have always had a natural part in my own hair and would want the same when looking for a wig.
I have also been checking out makeup ideas and finding that I can get a lot of bargains without spending a ton using websites such as E.L.F. (eyes lips face) who carries tons of great makeup without breaking the bank.
As far as fashion goes, Old Navy is going to be my go-to place this year because I am just feeling a lot of their looks and think that they along with Target offer such a wide array of clothing and accessories.
What are you going to do this year for you? Leave come comments with your thoughts and I hope to post more details about my New Year adventures!!
