What We Thought

For those who don’t know I am an off and on home baker. I take breaks and then jump back in when I have spare time and love making creations for family and friends especially during the holidays. I love to share this love of baking with my boys and teaching them to be self sufficient. We are an ingredient household meaning we make a lot of our own snacks and treats from scratch instead of buying. We also homeschool, so this leaves time to teach important skills in the kitchen including measuring, food safety, kitchen safety and making many many memories making fun treats.

I love any time that an activity is multi-faceted and allows me to teach many things at one time. Here are a few things that this kit allows us to learn together:

I think this opens such a window for learning and loving things that we may not experience on a normal basis here in the US. We love experiencing different cultures and of course celebrating the holidays.

This kit is absolutely perfect for homeschooling families but also for those who attend other schooling methods and just want to learn to make a delicious treat.

All of the pre-measured ingredients were fresh and ready to use. We didn’t need to add much from our own kitchen and I love that we can keep the included cookie cutter to make other fun treats in the future.

I love sharing our creations and this year since we are staying home for Valetine’s Day I thought this was absolutely perfect for a family dessert and to share with Grandparents as well. I am excited to get back into the kitchen with my kids anytime I can and look forward to many other BaKIT boxes in our future.
