About Zoku Endless Summer Recipe Book: Imagine a never-ending ice cream parlor, full of classic favorites and fresh originals. With the Zoku Ice Cream Maker, 54 recipes like White Chocolate Fudge Swirl to get you started, and your creativity running wild, you can create any flavor any time of the year. The possibilities are as endless as summer itself.
What We Thought: Summertime when I was growing up meant making ice cream with my Grandma or having other family members make ice cream and bring to my Grandma’s big 4th of July birthday celebration. I remember having all kinds, but 2 that stand out to me still at the age of 30 are strawberry and banana.
One thing I inherited when my Grandma passed away was an electric ice cream maker. I thought immediately about all of the ice cream I could make and how cold that ice cream was when it came out of there. I loved it. So cold that it literally almost hurt my teeth to eat it, but so delicious.
Naturally I wanted to be able to share these memories with my son and that meant needing some recipes. In came the Zoku Endless Summer Recipe Book. I didn’t get too crazy with my flavors on the first round and we stuck with vanilla, mostly because it is Jack’s favorite and because I didn’t want to mess up anything with my first solo ice cream making experience.
I love that this book is easy to follow, most recipes include easy to obtain ingredients and there are even some ingredients that I get to go pick (like strawberries) which is something I love doing when they are in season here in Virginia.
If you are looking for an awesome addition to your cookbook collection, this is definitely one to add. I will treasure it for a very long time to come and can’t wait to experiment with other recipes throughout the summer months!
