Transformers One on Digital 10/22!

We received a Digital Copy of Transformers One for review purposes. The thoughts contained within this post are ours and may vary from the thoughts of others.

TRANSFORMERS ONE is the untold origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron, better known as sworn enemies, but once were friends bonded like brothers who changed the fate of Cybertron forever. In the first-ever fully CG-animated Transformers movie, TRANSFORMERS ONE features a star-studded voice cast, including Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, Scarlett Johansson, Keegan-Michael Key, Steve Buscemi, with Laurence Fishburne, and Jon Hamm.

Cast: Chris Hemsworth (Orion Pax), Brian Tyree Henry (D-16), Scarlett Johansson (Elita-1) and Keegan-Michael Key (B-127), Steve Buscemi, with Laurence Fishburne and Jon Hamm.

What We Thought:

Typically being a Boy Mom I don’t get into the movies with the boys as much as maybe I should. They are just typically not my style. I remember watching Transformers with some kids I used to babysit when I was a teenager. Back then it was a cartoon series and the kids were all about it. There were action figure style toys and every other word out of their mouths was Transformers.

I have to say that this movie was both interesting for me as the parent and for my boys who are 7 and 11. We gathered up our snacks and found that this movie was busy from start to finish allowing for attention to be on it and no time for any bathroom breaks. The boys eyes were peeled and ready to enjoy every moment.

This movie made me realize that while sometimes we don’t always want to sit and watch the same old movies over and over there are times that we have to just take a breather and a break with our kids and enjoy things from their perspective.

I enjoyed the acting and knowing that some big name celebs were involved in the creation of Transformers One.

I am very much looking forward to other movies from this series and can’t wait to watch them as a family just as we did this one.
