Austin Lloyd Educational Toys Subscription Box Review
About Austin Lloyd: Austin Lloyd is an Atlanta-based company founded on the idea that all parents want to educate their children, but sometimes it is hard (or just time consuming) to know which toys to get. That’s where we step in! We take the guess work out of choosing toys that your child will enjoy, while also gaining skills that aide in their overall development.
The team at Austin Lloyd also cares deeply about helping those less fortunate. That is why we offer our customers the opportunity to send back their gently used toys so we can donate them to charities. We know a lot of parents have more toys than they can use, so we figured we could help de-clutter our customers’ homes while helping our communities. A win-win!
Austin Lloyd sent me a box to try for the purpose of this review. As always, our opinions are genuine and our own.
What we received: Inside the box were tons of goodies for my little one. When I first opened the box there was even a tag that said To: Arianna so that was a nice personal touch. I really liked that they also encourage donation of old toys to charities and will actually help with getting them to various charities for you.
Included in the box were the following:
Giraffe Activity Toy From Skip Hop: This was so cute and had so many different functions for her to use and play with. It even had a little chime to it when you moved it around. My daughter seemed to like the mirror the most and just trying to chew on every little piece! My 3 year old also really liked this as well and immediately tried to steal it away for her own.
Zoo Winkles Lion From Manhattan Toy: This little toy had tons of little loops and rattled. In the middle was a face of a lion which was super cute. My daughter would just shake it and shake it to hear the sound it made. In between chewing on all the little loops she could get her gums on of course.
DwellStudio Touch and Feel Zoo Book: I am a huge fan of touch and feel books as my kids have always really loved them. I had not gotten one for my newest little on yet so was really excited to see this in my box. She didn’t quite know what to think of being able to feel the different animals while I read it to her. She seemed to really like it though. Even my 8 year old son took a turn reading this to his little sister!
Elephant Squeak Easy: The look on my daughters face when I gave this to her was so cute. She had this oh my goodness what IS this look!! When I showed her that it squeaked I thought she was going to bounce out of her walker she got so excited and just started giggling!
Jungle Caboodle Clutching Toy: This little toy looked like a rattle type toy but it was made from wood so was something I had never seen before. I have to say this was probably her favorite thing. She would just stare at it and then chew on it and play with it. This kept her entertained for long periods of time.
What we thought: I have to say that I really liked how well this box was put together and everything that came in it. It was perfect for my 8 month old and she enjoyed every toy included. My other kids also had fun playing with her so I would say the toys were not only a hit with her but her older brother and sister as well.
Value: The Austin Lloyd box is $49.99 a month for 4-5 engaging surprises in each box. Seems a little high but all of the toys together totaled to $60.17 so you get over what you pay in value. They also send you really great quality product and in my opinion things that you may not always see when shopping for good toys. They have different age groups to meet the needs of a child of every age as well. I think this box is absolutely worth the price!
