Pentel EnerGel X Pens And EnerGize X Mechanical Pencils Product Review
I am a Sloplet review blogger and have received the following Pentel products free for the purpose of this review. My opinions are always from my own personal experience and honest.
I received the new Pentel EnerGelX Pens and Pentel EnerGize Mechanical Pencils.
The EnerGel Pens
I am the type of person who loves office supplies and trying new products. I have always held some type of office/business position and have used what feels like every single kind of pen, paper, pencil, marker and stapler that exists. I am very picky about my pens. Have you ever noticed that your handwriting can tend to be only as good as the pen or pencil you are using? I have ! There are certain types of pens that have a hard tip that slips across the paper or drags while I write, causing my writing to look worse than it is.
The Pentel EnerGel X Pens are a roller ball, quick dry style and I love them . I have always preferred a gel pen but they can be messy. These gel pens are super quick dry and absolutely did not smudge at all. I tested this by writing and immediately rubbing the side of my hand near my pinky finger (since this is usually where you tend to get the ink all over) over what I had just written. Nothing. Completely dry. This is going to sound funny, but you can actually see it dry right away. The roller ball style allows for nice flow when writing and the comfort grip is just the right size. I do not like when a pen has a thick grip. This is just right.
The pack I received contains the colors shown above plus hot pink and baby blue. My daughters grabbed those up before I could get a picture! One more little detail I like is that each pen comes with a tiny plastic tip cover so that the pens you are not using will not leak in the package or dry out.
The Pentel EnerGize Mechanical Pencils
Mechanical pencils are something that I have always wanted to like more than I actually did. The fact that the lead would break so easily drove me crazy. I basically just stopped using them all together. The Pentel EnerGize X Mechanical Pencils use a 0.5 lead and while that is pretty common, I have used these a lot since receiving them and notice a huge difference in how often the lead was breaking. Like the Pentel EnerGel pens, the pencils also have a great grip that is latex free.
