Dollar Shave Club Product Review
About Dollar Shave Club: For as little as $1/month, a great shave delivered right to your door. No more superfluous shave tech. No more stubble in the status meeting. Just a great shave for a low-commitment.
This is a monthly subscription box for guys though ladies are welcome to use it as well.
Dollar Shave Club sent me a box to try for the purpose of this review. As always, our opinions are genuine and our own.
What we received: My box came with everything you need to get your shave on plus an extra little goodie to keep your hiney fresh! Not only did my husband try everything out but I did as well.
Included in the box were the following:
Dr. Carver’s Shave Butter: Dr. Carver’s Easy Shave Butter is transparent, so you can see where you’re shaving. Also unlike shaving cream, it’s formula is not soap-based so it won’t dry your face out, and it rinses easy so it won’t clog your razor.
I was not expecting anything out of the ordinary from the shave butter as I figured it was just like any other shaving cream. I was completely wrong on that one though. This stuff is way better than any regular old shaving cream I have ever used. It doesn’t gunk up when you put it on and you can still see while shaving which is always a plus. It left my legs feeling so soft and hydrated. Has a light scent from its natural ingredients but nothing too strong.
One Wipe Charlies: A strong, yet soft and flushable cloth wipe with a gentle and effective cleansing solution. Botanical ingredients Aloe Vera and Chamomile are naturally soothing; while refreshing Cucumber and a Peppermint scent leave you feeling clean. Vitamin E leaves the skin naturally hydrated.
When I first saw these and read the back I was literally laughing my butt off. My favorite part of getting these was the description on the back. There is so much humor surrounding the description and directions of this product that I never would have expected but made it that much better. They have a very strong Peppermint scent and work just like you would expect. If you want your hiney feeling fresh and smelling great these are for you!
Razor Handle and 4 blades: They feature 3 different blades to choose from and in my box was the 4X aka “The Lover’s Blade” which has 4 stainless steel blades. Now with this blade since there were 4 cartridges I tried one, my husband tried one, and my father in law also tried one. In the end the outcome for all 3 of us was the same. This was the closest shave I have ever gotten from a razor. I have tried lots of different kinds and brands as well so I was so excited by the results. My legs have never felt that smooth from any razor nor has my husbands face.
What We Thought: When I got this I was expecting just a regular old razor like any other. I have to say that this exceed any outcome I could have ever have expected so in my book it is an exceptional subscription box. The value speaks for itself, look what you get!
Value: There are 3 different razors to choose from-
$1 a month +S&H
$6 a month with S&H included
The $9 a month which also includes S&H.
My honest opinion on the value of this product is that this is one of those things you think is too good to be true. You get an amazing shave for such a tiny little price its almost hard to believe. The price is more than worth it in my opinion. Would make for a great gift for that special guy in your life, your dad or even yourself!
My only question for Dollar Shave Club has to be when will they come out with a ladies version! Either way though I will definitely be sticking with this box for both myself and my husband.

I spend way too much on razors monthly. I’d say about $10-15 bucks. I tend to buy the cheaper razors but they’re not so kind to my skin.
