Our hand-shredded canned foods let you see our high standards once the can is open. Our evolutionary semi-moist dehydrated food is uniquely manufactured to give you the convenience of a dry kibble, but the nutritional benefits of preparing a raw diet. We have taken a totally unique approach with how we have designed our products.

Unlike 95% of other brands, Against the Grain owns its own manufacturing facility and produces its own products. This gives us accessibility and the ability to create totally unique and innovative products. Our manufacturing plant adheres to the highest standards of preserving our natural resources. For example, the use of natural light (skylights) is dominant throughout our plant, we have the maximum amount of recyclable materials in our retail packaging, all packaging materials are recycled, our water is supplied by our own on-site well, resulting in our conscious efforts to be socially and economically responsible.

What We Thought

Our pets are really used to being treated like royalty. Most came to us under not the best circumstances and we really like to spoil them the best way we know how. Products like Against the Grain Pet Food make this possible.

When looking for pet foods for our dogs and cats specifically we look for products that we know the ingredients, and importantly can pronounce them all. Have you ever looked at a label and wondered what in the world the ingredients were? Not the case at all with Against the Grain.

I love thinking that what our cats are eating is human quality, meaning that these meals are comprised of ingredients that I would cook in my own kitchen.

We only have 1 cat that desires wet food, so we go all out for him. Oreo is the resident barn cat. He was once an indoor cat who became tired of this life and decided that barn life was the life for him when we brought our first son home from the hospital 4 1/2 year ago. Oreo had been a drop off, we literally found him when he would fit in the palm of my hand and we nursed him to health and he became an amazing tuxedo. We always treated him well inside, but once outside I felt like he needed even more great treatment. He is the mouser, thinks he is a guard dog and better yet loves a great can of wet food.

Against the Grain Pet Food has proven that not all pet foods are created equal and we have enjoyed our sampling to the highest!
