About Peaceable Kingdom-
Here at Peaceable Kingdom, we believe in a few important things.
We believe in slowing down and putting our screens aside so we can play with our kids, in spending time with friends and in connecting with family. We believe that doing this for even a little bit every day nourishes our spirit.
We believe that kids shine when kindness, courage, and connection are part of their DNA, when they reach out to someone who is sad, or can get up after a tumble, or give you an unexpected hug.
We believe in family and community, by being a family-owned, family-first company that has proudly called Berkeley, California, home for over 30 years.
We believe that honesty really is the best policy, no matter what.
We believe in cooperation in all its forms, with each other as employees, with the inventors, artists, manufacturers, and retailers who make up our larger family, and with our planet.
We believe that when play comes from the heart and feeds the soul, a more peaceable kingdom really is possible.
What We Thought-
Many people know but some do not know that we homeschool. Our venture began right before Jack turned 2 and has continued now for 2 years. He will be 4 in June and while we do use some curriculum materials for his education, for now we make learning fun and make it one of the best experiences of his life. When I came across Peaceable Kingdom I knew that I wanted to collaborate with them and was extremely happy when they agreed.
We received everything shown in the photo above, and up to date we have used some daily. The Preschool Games to Go has been the biggest hit ever. I love that this is something we can use at home, but also “on the go” as it is intended. We have incorporated it into our schooling and I even ordered another one for my niece for her birthday. She is also really enjoying it. The ability to use the same book over and over with the dry erase marker makes this one of the best things I have used in a long time. Jack has enjoyed this so much and we have not grown tired of it like many other things.
In a rainy spell like we are having now, the games such as Feed the Woozle have come in handy too. I love that this game can grow with Jack and later with William. There are instructions for numerous age groups to make this more challenging as the boys grow up. I love this because I feel that this game won’t end up just tucked away in a closet somewhere not being used, but it can be an active part of our family game nights for many years to come.
The Fire & Rescue Match Up Game & Puzzle is amazing in its own as well. Jack has loved playing it. This small box contains several purposes which makes this Mom happy. I enjoy giving Jack things that serve multiple uses to conserve space here in our home but also because I feel like this makes things not become boring.
We are waiting to have a friend over to play Friends & Neighbors, but I know that this will not disappoint either.
Peaceable Kingdom is going to be out go-to spot when looking for educational games for both of our boys from now on. These make great birthday gifts for our sons family and friends, too.
