Pine Bros Softish Throat Drops Product Review
About Pine Bros. – In 1870 J. Herman Pine and his brother sold their first batch of what they called “Pine Brothers Glycerine Tablets”. After perfecting the recipe in hopes of bringing soothing properties and relieve to his friends and family, Mr. Pine enjoyed his success. In 1930 the company was sold to Life Savers and flourished through the 70s. Unfortunately, over the years with the name changing hands so many times, they started to be made over seas and sales declined. In 2011, Pine Bros. Softish Throat Drops were relaunched by their new owner, Victoria Knight-McDowell , creator of Airborne.
The Pine Bros. Sofitish Throat Drops are available at CVS and come in 2 flavors, Cherry and Honey. They are sold in “pucks” and bags, starting at $3.
Licorice is available in limited quantities this year and Lemon Citrus is due out next year.
As I write this, I sit here with a scratchy, sore throat and my Pine Bros. Softish Throat Drops within arms reach. I live in Northern New England and with my allergies & the weather changing so fast, so often I almost always have a sore throat. A lot of cough drops or throat lozenges that I have used make my throat sticky and actually create more irritation.
The natural ingredients in the Pine Bros. Softish Throat Drops does not cause this. I do wish there were more flavors available. I feel as though Honey and Cherry are two flavors that either people love or hate. Having such a limited amount of flavors just limits the amount of people to sell to. We personally do not like cherry and I am the only one who likes honey.
