Throughout the U.S., municipalities are revisiting their safety regulations for public and private workers who work in certain professions. The trends suggest that more people will be required to have to wear safety vests while on the major roadways. These measures are being introduced to promote public safety and prevent accidents from occurring. Government workers and safety Some cities have reviewed their policies and discovered that the rules in place have been far too lax. This puts people at risk for accidents and endangers the lives of workers. Legislators are proposing that individuals like public utility workers and vendors working on public projects be required to wear highly reflective vests.

The municipalities continue to entertain these measures to curb the work-related accidents and reduce the likelihood of accidents that expose these agencies to liabilities. Restaurants, couriers and safety Cities are even considering requiring non-public employees to consider wearing reflective vests to keep these individuals safe in their dangerous lines of work. Couriers, delivery professionals and people in these professions may soon be required these vests. Additionally, these people may be required to carry proper identification supplied by their employees.

In some cities, a special commercial biking license may be required for couriers and delivery workers. Public safety, liability and professionalism are all being actively considered as local agencies require the employee to wear a safety vest from SafetyGearOnline.com or a similar location. Curbing the number of accidents and fatalities are all expected to result from these proposed measures if enacted. Violators of such provisions may be subject to fines, which could really add up for a business.

I have worked on sites that require vests and hardhats. I feel that these are a very good idea and make everyone more safety conscience.

I actually just ordered my husband a jacket from SafetyGearOnline! He is a cable lineman and has to wear neon colors with reflector tape on the clothes, and he is very picky. He wanted a jacket that was water repellent, had a zip off hood, a zip out liner, and at least 4 pockets. This was the only place we could find a jacket that fit his requirements. This is a great review for a great company! Thanks for sharing 🙂

My brother in law runs a business that requires he and his employees to wear safely vests so I will be passing this on to him.

My Dad, a worry wort, always insisted that I carry a reflective safety vest in the car in case of a breakdown on a busy highway. Just a mesh one small enough to fold up and put in a car pocket (like they sell on the site). I made fun of him until it happened. Boy did I feel better getting out of the car (even though I climbed over and got off on the shoulder side) with the vest on. Trucks were just flying by and they seemed so close. Really, everyone should take this precaution.
