What We Thought-

When it comes to technology I love to stay on top of things, especially in ways that we can expand our home wi-fi devices. Paying data from your home is absolutely no fun, so in comes AmpliFi. I was excited to give this a shot and found that the installation was really easy which we will talk about some here in this post as well as the perks of having this system.

The box arrived in literally pristine condition. I love the packaging which includes a carrying handle and a stable box that means no crushing. Opening it was a real treat too. I felt like a kid in a candy store!

Here are all of the contents– minus the how-to book which I removed to make sure I could get everything in one photo.

Set-up was super simple. I downloaded an app on my Android (don’t worry they have it for Apple too!!) which didn’t take long at all. I started the app and began the set up which meant powering off my existing router and connecting the AmpliFi using the provided cable.

Powering up was really easy as well, and my cell phone found the router almost immediately. I then connected the extenders into our outlets and they picked up as well right away (within a minute).

As far as the service, I didn’t notice a lot of difference but liked how I could use the app to track data usage and even allow a certain number of guests to use the wireless which means I could set the number to just the amount of tablets and things we wanted connected here, but no more or I could allow room for guests.  This eliminates room for someone to try and sneak in on the wireless, plus I was given the opportunity to set up my own password for the network, which I love.

The touchscreen option on the router is one of the best features and was really easy to use as well.
