About L.R. Rice Raw & Unfiltered Honey-

L.R. Rice founded Rice’s Lucky Clover Honey LLC, headquartered in Greeley, Colorado, in 1924. This women-owned, family operated company, now in its 5th generation, remains a leading producer of authentic, high quality, raw, and unfiltered honey. The company’s honey is 100% pure, local United States, raw and unfiltered honey.

When the company first began in 1924, the family worked bee yards, extracted honey, filled and labeled glass jars, then sold products door to door in Northern Colorado. Since that time, Rice’s Lucky Clover Honey has established and nurtured long-standing relationships with beekeeper families throughout the United States. This allows for quality U.S. honey to be packed in every bottle of Rice’s Lucky Clover Honey. Our customized filling process and system ensures the natural pollen and enzymes of the raw honey remain in every bottle.

What We Thought-

For years I had a honey allergy and could not even begin to touch honey. Many Benadryl and other allergy medications and even an EpiPen were always in my possession. Recently I found that the allergy had passed and I wanted to dig right into the world of honey. Literally, I wanted to put it on everything!

I started with local honey and expanded out to trying different brands, so I was absolutely thrilled when this box showed up with the pictured honey varieties.

Dinner one night here was chicken tenders and fries and I wanted to take time to test out the varieties of honey that we received. I was stopped dead in my tracks with the Clover Honey. It was so pure tasting and the smoothest honey I have ever tasted. I have to admit I stopped right there and did not try any other varieties that night.

Later in the week I was able to sample the rest and while the clover still stands out as my personal favorite they all have a hint of their own flavor. Coming in a very close 2nd for me is the Local Southeast.

These honey bottles (as well as single serve honey packs) can be purchased on the L.R. Rice website and retail for $6.50 each. This is a steal compared to what I am seeing prices for in our area in upwards of even near $10 a bottle. I feel confident in purchasing from L.R. Rice simply because the company has been in business for so long and they have a long standing good relationship with their customers.
