Crown Goose Duvet

Recently we were given the opportunity to review a great duvet from Crown Goose and let me just say WOW. A little back story is that this duvet showed up for review when we had a lot of things going on and I didn’t want to just use it. We were still having some cool nights and I didn’t want to get chilly because this is a lightweight duvet meant for summer use.

When I got it out I had the perfect reason. Our power went out and we were convinced that night we were going to be sleeping on the living room floor to stay warm and out nearly 5 year old was afraid of the dark and didn’t want to spend the night alone in a dark room even with a flashlight. My blogging life usually means a charged laptop and we had just gotten a movie to review (coming soon by the way!!) and Jack wanted to spread the new duvet on the floor and get some pillows to relax.

I took this duvet out of the package and immediately realized how soft it was. I couldn’t believe it honestly. Jack wanted to lay on it right that minute and I literally had to keep him off to just take a few photos. No one would believe that we put such an expensive duvet on the floor, but it made Jack comfortable and it wasn’t too heavy on him since the humidity was building quickly in the house with the electric being out.

Our baby was able to get lots of rest and the power came back on around 1 in the morning. We did eventually end up in bed, but only as a family that night since it was just too creepy in the house for our guys.

The storm left a lasting impression on us, especially since our power hardly ever goes out but the Crown Goose duvet helped us feel ore comfortable and safe because lets face it a nice new blanket makes everything better.

In the days after the storm I was able to gently wash this duvet (use gentle cycle with a little detergent and some scent boosters, then switch to the dryer on low and when the duvet is just damp I air dry the rest) I put it on my queen sized bed and have been having lots of peaceful nights sleep knowing that I am sleeping under high quality materials that are not too light or too heavy.
