Homemade Bread N Butter Refrigerator Pickles & Garden Mix
Let’s make some homemade bread n butter refrigerator pickles, cucumbers and zucchini are coming out of the garden like crazy! I tried zucchini pickles for the first time a few years back when my mother made them. I was surprised at how much they tasted just like a regular cucumber pickle. I was kinda hooked. The next year, I made them myself ! Â I do not have the stuff to do the full canning and preserving process so I make refrigerator pickles. These will stay fresh in your fridge as long as they are kept cold for about a month. DO NOT store these in a cabinet or pantry.
If you would like to read more about the process of preserving for your cabinet and pantry, the Ball website has some amazing information. Â I use them as a reference quite frequently. Â I am just nervous about preserving so I have not tried any long term canning recipes yet. I will work on it !

As much as I love Bread N Butter pickles, and I do mean love, I have never thought of making them myself. I also love zucchini very much. But didn’t know that they could be pickled! I swear I am not living under a rock! LOL. I love this! Thank you for the printable version it really helps. I will let you know how it goes!

I have made refrigerator cukes but I have never tried this. I have plenty of veggies right now and this is what I am going to do, lol. Looks really good.

They look SO good. Years ago, my mom use to make bread & butter pickles and they were the best. I have never canned anything before. Maybe I should attempt to

Yum! My husband loves to just munch on tangy/salty snacks. He also likes cucumbers in vinegar. We will be trying these! Thanks 🙂
